Ivy Clinics in Chester and Succasunna/Roxbury, New Jersey have teamed up with Roxbury Township Social Services to sponsor families in need this holiday season. Over 200 families in the area have been struggling to make ends meet and these two Ivy clinics decided to take action and give back.
Families the team has adopted include a single mom with two 12-year-old boys and a family with one 9-year-old girl. At Thanksgiving this year, Ivy team members provided the items necessary for the families to have a special Thanksgiving meal. For Christmas, Ivy staffers put up a “giving tree” in the clinic in order to provide the families with their Christmas meal and gifts for everyone. Staff and patients alike participated and did a great job of providing everything and more on their wish lists! A keyboard, hoodies, slippers, video games and gift cards were just some of the items families received. A few very generous patients also donated extra gift cards for the families to use at the movies, local grocery store and department stores!
Roxbury Township Social Services has also noted that their food pantry is extremely low on supplies and is in desperate need of donations. If you live in the area and would like to help out, you can contact social services at (973) 448-2026.
