Ivy Rehab is thrilled to announce that an Ivy Rehab HSS Physical Therapy Center of Excellence (CoE) is now open in Guilford, CT. You’ll find the office located at 1919 Boston Post Road in the Guilford Commons Shopping Center next to Bed Bath and Beyond. Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), top-ranked in the nation for orthopedics for the past ten years, has partnered with us to open this new facility in Guilford. This clinic marks the 10th Center of Excellence to be jointly opened by HSS and Ivy Rehab, and the second in Connecticut.

Shawn Breen is the Clinic Director and Physical Therapist at the Guilford facility. Shawn brings a high level of energy and a caring personality to the patients he treats. He was born and raised in the Boston area where he excelled both academically and as a multi-sport athlete. With over 25 years of experience, Shawn treats spinal injuries, post-operative cases, sports injuries, arthritis, sprains and strains, and pediatrics. Outside of the clinic, Shawn loves spending time with his family, playing with his dogs, and hiking.
“I am excited to bring my 27 years of experience and knowledge in the field of physical therapy to the Guilford community,” said Shawn Breen, Clinic Director. “Helping individuals recover, progress, and improve quality of life following a surgery or injury is my passion. The Guilford CoE offers appointments within 24 hours with or without a physician’s prescription, in clinic, and through virtual telehealth as well as complimentary consultations with a physical therapist. The office is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
