Ivy Rehab HSS CoE is Now Open in Long Island City, NY

Ivy Rehab HSS Physical Therapy Center of Excellence in Long Island City, New York is now open! The clinic is located next to MoMA PS1 at 45-43 21st Street. Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) and Ivy Rehab have partnered to jointly open these Centers of Excellence, featuring a wide range of equipment and services with highly trained therapists providing world-class care.    

“We are excited to provide the Queens community with access to high-quality rehabilitative care right in their neighborhood with the opening of Ivy Rehab HSS Physical Therapy Center of Excellence in Long Island City,” said JeMe Cioppa-Mosca, senior vice president of Rehabilitation at HSS. “The COE stamp offers added assurance that the center has met the rigorous quality and credentialing standards that patients expect from HSS. We look forward to continue growing the widespread COE network with Ivy Rehab in tristate communities and beyond.” 

Dr. Daniel Bogart is serving as the Clinic Director and Physical Therapist at the new Long Island City facility. 

“I am very excited to serve a rapidly growing and vibrant community of Long Island City, playing my part in getting New Yorkers ‘back in the game,’” said Daniel. 

Dan has recently received the title of Advanced Hip Clinician, an accreditation from Hospital for Special Surgery. His clinical pursuits are in sports medicine and sports-related injuries. His current area of clinical interest is activity-related spinal conditions with a particular emphasis on the mobilization and manipulation of the spine. He received additional post-graduate training in this area at the University of St Augustine, Florida. His goal is to search for alternative, evidence-based methods of treatment for chronic and acute spinal conditions.  

In addition to performing his regular clinical responsibilities, he is involved in clinical supervision of students and provides guidance to the junior members of his team.  

In his free time, Dan enjoys playing recreational beach volleyball and basketball. He is also an avid cyclist and you can spot him on his daily commute to work from Manhattan.

Ivy Rehab HSS Physical Therapy Center of Excellence in Long Island City will provide treatments that include balance and fall prevention, chronic pain, physical therapy, soft tissue mobilization, orthopedic therapy, post-surgical treatment, and much more. 

Special programs that will be offered at the Long Island City clinic include:  

Access to care is available with or without a physician’s prescription, usually within 24–hours, and through virtual telehealth as well.
