At Ivy Rehab, we believe in always doing the right thing – that is why we strive to excel in health care compliance. Doing the right thing is critical to our success, moreover to the success and experience of our patients.
It gives us immense joy to announce that The Health Ethics Trust®, a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to promoting ethical and legal conduct in healthcare, awarded Ivy the Best Practice Award for Integrating Compliance in Operations. We could not be more honored to accept this prestigious national award.
“Doing the right thing is one of our core values here at Ivy Rehab, and I am thrilled to work for an organization that values the importance of, and prioritizes, investment in compliance,” said David Zabell, MD, Esq., General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer. “We are honored to receive such a prestigious award from The Health Ethics Trust.”
The Best Compliance Practices Award recognizes accomplishment in ethics and compliance program implementation and “practices that are exceptional judged by current compliance program standards.” To determine the awards, The Health Ethics Trust® has an independent board of experienced senior health care compliance professionals reviewing applications and materials. This board reviews programs based on specific criteria that include how the practices promote the organization’s commitment to integrity and compliance; to what extent such programs include a mechanism for continuous improvement and organizational learning, and how the programs engage teammates at all levels.
“We enjoy and thrive on the collaboration between Compliance and Operations,” said Margarita Derelanko, MA, CHC, Director of Compliance. “Our team continues targeting opportunities to partner with stakeholders throughout our organization, to produce balanced and integrated compliance solutions, and to differentiate Ivy Rehab Network as a provider of choice in the outpatient rehabilitation therapy space.”
By creating a functional approach, the Ivy Rehab Compliance team has fostered an inclusive and community-oriented environment that allows operations to collaborate and integrate compliance best practices into workflows throughout the enterprise.
“I am proud of our compliance and operations team collaboration. This prestigious award speaks volumes about the quality of our strategic and functional developments throughout the past year and our exceptional teamwork between departments,” said Troy Bage, Chief Operating Officer. “I am looking forward to seeing the continued development and improvement over the course of the next year and the operational impact that will have throughout our network.”
The future is bright at Ivy Rehab as we further enhance our best-in-class processes to ensure the continued provision of industry-leading patient care and an unparalleled experience for each of our patients, providers, and teammates.
