Our Mission

The mission of the Ivy Rehab Oncology Residency Program is to foster the professional development of clinicians looking to specialize in the area of oncology rehabilitation. This program will develop these clinicians in the areas of communication, evaluation, treatment planning and problem-solving skills utilizing a comprehensive didactic curriculum based on current evidence and best practice guidelines.

Kristin Murphy, PT, DPT

“The Oncology Residency Program has made me more aware of side effects, even years later, from cancer treatment, which includes more patients than just patients referred with an oncology diagnosis. I have learned a lot of testing, treatment tips, and ideas for properly managing cases with oncology diagnoses and side effects, and we still have a lot more to learn. This is such an underserved population, and I am glad to be able to help out.” – Kristin Murphy, PT, DPT; Princeton, NJ

Ashley Fisher, PT, DPT

“Participating in the Oncology Residency Program has given me a more well-rounded approach to treating patients and how to incorporate cancer care into the conversation, even if it has been some time since diagnosis and treatment. I would recommend this program because it is an aspect of care that is often overlooked, and there is so much we can do to help this patient population. Ivy offers a great program, and it will bring so much good to the communities where we live and work.” – Ashley Fisher, PT, DPT, Orange, VA
